There’s a reason why Nashville is considered by many to be the nation´s Music Capital. On any given day musicians from near and far board planes, start cars and climb in trains, all starting their pilgrimage to Music City U.S.A. 5 years ago that was me.
Today I’m excitedly beginning as a contributing editor at Guitar Thrills Magazine, where starting next month, I will be publishing my monthly column “Nashville Notes”.
“Nashville Notes” is the working guitarist´s view from the inside out. Here we will be discussing tips & tricks of the trade as well as talking to some of the best guitarists working the hottest tours and the flipside as well. Together we will visit some of Nashville´s brightest venues and renowned studios. New equipment will be going under the microscope here at “Nashville Notes” HQ, keeping your gear up to date and ready for the road. It´s time to answer some tech questions by talking to the men and women behind the scenes with those mysterious road cases filled with his or her “rig”.
I suppose at this point some of you may be saying to yourselves “who is this chick?”
I´m a professional guitarist halfway through the 10-year town, as Nashville is affectionately called by all of us musicians competing for the sweet spot. Broadway, small tour, big tour, sessions, stadium, album release - all things I´ve done but I´m still only halfway there and working hard every day.
Stay tuned! In the meantime, I’d like to share with you one of my favorite albums and a must-hear for all guitarists: “Play” by Brad Paisley – A, for the most part, instrumental masterpiece full of superb guitar playing including some fun duets with some of the greatest guitarists.
