What leads to favoring your guitar of choice? An emotional connection.
My “go to” guitar has always been a Gibson SG in the Vintage Cherry Red. It is perfect for a specific set up that is conducive to the 60s era, that I enjoy so much. The equation is the Standard Gibson SG with the Vox AC15 Amp with no pedals. Perfect sound with a nostalgic feeling of the first British Invasion.

Since then, Eric has launched a successful solo career releasing 12 albums, developing signature guitars, pickups, & amps and touring in over 30 countries.

ERJA LYYTINEN UK SPRING 2025 TOUR

In April 2025 we will play eleven dates in the UK with no off days! Our touring schedule is crazy, and the band never run out of energy. I´m especially excited about the fact that we will be renewing our set list with songs from our new album! It´s going to be so cool planning the setlist. We will perform old gems and new tunes for a rocking 100 minutes on stage. Expect a lot of slide guitar playing. I´m also planning to take a few more new guitars with me on tour. So, it will be a thrilling tour in many ways!

Gruhn Versitar Thinline an Acoustic for Electric Guitar Players

From a distance the new model looks the same as the Standard until you get up close.  The new Thinline model is only 1 7/8” thick while the Standard the Standard boasts a full 4” depth.  Like its bigger brother the Thinline has a soft V shaped three-piece walnut neck that is joined to the body with two-bolts. The instrument also features a cutaway body for easier access up the neck and the signature upper bout sound hole.

Every detail has been given attention to; from the Kluson Supreme tuners to the gold finish on the Fralin Pure PAF humbuckers - it´s more than done right. Quite frankly it´s one good looking guitar. The lightly distressed finish gives it a warm feel and makes me want to get out my leather.

When I hear that device is going to make my life easier, I will sit up and take notice. Until I hear that it is wireless. Suddenly, a host of story lines come rushing in, and will cloud my sense of reason. Especially in the case of a wireless environment between my PRS Guitar and Marshall Amp. I have considered a wireless approach to my musical components in the past.
