"The stories behind my music are raw, but when I sing it for a crowd, I don't feel sad, I feel empowered and understood." - Avalon Stone
BY Edward Schooley
Music has stuck by my side consistently, without question, like the most loyal of childhood friends. It’s always been something I can rely on. When things got really hard at the beginning of the pandemic, I read stories about musicians in Italy playing off their balconies to help people think about something other than fear and death for a little while.

"We absolutely love touring, but it definitely does take a toll on us." - When Rivers Meet
BY Edward Schooley
This is the first tour where it has been an album tour, previously we already had records out. So, this time it was great to be able to tour a whole brand new album, and then we selected some of our back catalogue that we’d not played out before and a few favorites to throw in as well. So, it feels amazing, even though we’ve only been releasing music properly since 2019 to have such a big back catalogue to pull from.

BY Edward Schooley

I can’t speak for all artists, but life for me has been pretty good so far. I am only 15 but I have experienced a lot of amazing opportunities, thanks to my supportive family, friends, other musicians.

"The journey was like I needed to eat, and slide came in and I just kept working to refine it." - Keb Mo
BY Brian Quinn
About being at A&M Records, what was interesting to me is that there were session players who, if they weren't doing anything, would come and play demos. So, that was always good because I got to work with some great drummers, bass players, and keyboard players, who were working on top sessions and would sometimes come in and play with the demo guys. So, it was great. That time at A&M Records and Irving Almo music when I was on the demo squad, as we used to call it, that was my college.
