What leads to favoring your guitar of choice? An emotional connection.
My “go to” guitar has always been a Gibson SG in the Vintage Cherry Red. It is perfect for a specific set up that is conducive to the 60s era, that I enjoy so much. The equation is the Standard Gibson SG with the Vox AC15 Amp with no pedals. Perfect sound with a nostalgic feeling of the first British Invasion.

"A great deal of what has made me road-tested comes from the amount of time I’ve been out there doing it" -Eric Steckel
“Road-tested and seasoned from 25 years on stage, Eric Steckel is a blues veteran at only 34 years of age. His big break came about at the age of 12 when Blues legend John Mayall invited Eric on tour with his band The Bluesbreakers and hired Eric to play lead guitar on his 2005 album. An affordable Martin 12-string?  Martin X-Series D-X2E Brazilian 12-String.
BY Eric Dahl
Based on Martin D-14 body shape their new 12-string is easier to navigate and play than many other guitars of this style. The top is made of Spruce, but the sides and back are made of stunning Brazilian rosewood pattern HPL (high pressure laminate).  They obviously help hold the cost of the instrument down but are also stunning visually.

"An ethos carrying their music to a new generation “I feel like rock is alive and well, it’s just presented kind of differently.” - Frank Berry
BY Jesse Davidson
Berry’s interest in music grew with feverish intensity through her middle and high school years. Her mother, Daniella Clarke, a renowned fashion designer, helped spark her love of style alongside her discovery of David Bowie’s iconic sound and image. “I grew up loving glam rock.” Berry recalled fondly. “The music and fashion are so hand in hand like all of Bowie’s iconic looks. I wanted to look like that.” From the jump, these two worlds naturally coalesced for Berry. When Daniella Clarke traveled to shopping malls to meet potential buyers for her clothes, she would set-up an in-store performances for her daughter’s band to play. “We played in malls, our backyard, our classroom, and then, we got featured in Teen Vogue even though we weren’t teenagers yet (laughs)” said Berry.

"I fell in love with it when I saw Nico’s videos of “Desertshore” I think it’s unknowingly the first dark wave record in history."
BY Manuel Bellone
One day she came to see the rehearsals as the drummer’s girlfriend, and we decided to play “Anemone” by The Brian Jonestown Massacre. When the piece started, the groove had a very nice and rhythmic feel, we liked the idea so much that we also tried it on our only two songs we had. It worked so well that we decided to get her into the band. About the tambourine…during the 60’s together with maracas was also very characteristic in live performances. I can mention so many bands like the Rolling Stones, the Byrds, Beach Boys.

"You must have the right mindset to overcome failure. It is part of life." - Joanne Shaw Taylor
BY Edward Schooley
However, like you mentioned you must have the right mindset to overcome failure. It is part of life. I recall being on tour and getting extremely ill. Even to the point of collapsing on stage. I was admitted to the hospital, and my manager at the time wanted me to continue performing on tour. There was no way that was going to happen. Especially when you won’t be able to perform at your best. Regarding failure, I can recall a comment from Joe Bonomassa. He mentioned that you must be talented. You must be better than others that are competing as an artist. Joe has always been instrumental in encouraging me throughout my career.
