This our second conversation of the Cream Revolver Deluxe model. We were extremely pleased with the outcome of our review. Thus, covering it over a several articles was a must. If you remember, in Part I of our review of the Cream Revolver I mentioned the following:
My “go to” guitar has always been a Gibson SG in the Vintage Cherry Red. It is perfect for a specific set up that is conducive to the 60s era, that I enjoy so much. The equation is the Standard Gibson SG with the Vox AC15 Amp with no pedals. Perfect sound with a nostalgic feeling of the first British Invasion. However, it doesn’t end there, there’s more to it. On a deeper level there is a connection to my brother that passed away. He was a Gibson SG junky. Which is one of the first reasons why I decided to buy Gibson. It was a reminder of something that mean much more to me than a nostalgic era for the music industry. Maybe you can also relate to the same emotional connection.

I ended my introduction with a rhetorical question. Is there anything about a specific model that can create an emotional response in you?
My article was inspired by the Gibson SG. However, it also came from an emotional connection with the Cream Revolver. There was an instant “draw” to this model. The design reminded me of some of guitars played by Paul Stanley of KISS. It was dramatic and creative. Though maintaining performance, and practicality. The Revolver, which was developed by Luis Ortiz Cream CEO and designer. He continues to make his mark within the music industry with his creativity and design genius.
Part II Review concludes:
One of the important elements to this build was how the guitar played out of the box. I covered some of it on my initial review. However, I dove a bit deeper into what stood out to me the most. The action was extremely important. While “guitar action” can vary based upon the player, there is a standard that should be considered.
The guidelines for measuring string height, neck and pickups were all spot on with the Revolver. Even despite my own preferences. Adjustments to the truss bar for any guitar “out of the box” is unacceptable to me. All guitars should have quality assurance measures in place for any guitar going to a consumer or guitar novice. Adjusting a guitar is simple in many respects for those that are qualified. Your typical consumer at any guitar level should have high expectations for the NEW product that they have purchased.
The Cream Revolver Deluxe model is a “must have” for any guitar enthusiast. The design is outside of your typical Gibson, Fender, and Ibanez models. However, it is spot on for what consumers will want moving forward.
